Description

Apistogramma cacatuoides, popularly known as the Cockatoo cichlid, is a peaceful small cichlid from South America. It is one of the easiest to keep species of Apisto and has been bred frequently in aquariums, resulting in many ornamental colour strains. The 'Double Red' morph is distinguished by have flame-like markings in the dorsal and caudal fins and a yellow belly.
